Kot Najeebullah (Hindko: (Shahmukhi)), also spelt Kot Najibullah, is one of the 44 union councils, administrative subdivisions, of Haripur District (The civic of Haripur (import 'Hari's town') was established in 1822 by Hari Singh Nalwa the leader-in-head of Ranjit Singh's military subsequent guidance from Mukkadam Musharaf of Kot Najibullah) in the North-West Frontier Province of Pakistan.〔(Tehsils & Unions in the District of Haripur )〕 It is a town on the old silk route with a population of approximately 20,000 people, according to the Census 1998. Kot Najibullah means "Fort of Najibullah". It is one of the oldest economic centres of Haripur District, located 12 km away from the city of Haripur and 65 km from Islamabad. Kot Najibullah is famous for the Hattar Industrial Estate, 2 km from Kot Najibullah. Government Higher Secondary School Kot Najibullah is a very old school and played a vital role in educating people of Haripur and nearby districts. The village has its own railway station on the Havalian-Rawalpindi Railway Line. It has a higher secondary school for girls, a police station and also a 12 bed rural hospital. Due to a nearby industrial region, people of this village also work in different industries. The history of Kot Najibullah can be read in a recent book "Tareekh-e-Hazara". ==References==
